Randy Douthit American Executive Producer

Randy DouthitRandy Douthit was born in Oklahoma in 1957. He is an American film producer and actor. He has produced or co-produced movies such as “I Know What You Did Last Summer”, “Urban Legend”, and “The Faculty”. He is also the founder of Dark Hall Mansion a production company that specializes in the creation of horror films.

Randy achieved his first degree in political science from Oklahoma State University. He later went to the University of Texas and earned his MBA. Randy Douthit is a well-known film producer who has produced or co-produced movies such as I Know What You Did Last Summer, Urban Legend, The Faculty, and The Unborn. He is also the founder of Dark Hall Mansion a production company that specializes in the creation of horror films.

Randy won a Saturn Award in the year 2000 for “Best Horror Film” for the movie Urban Legend. He also won an award at the same ceremony for “Best DVD Premiere Movie”.According to Randy Douthit, the creative process of producing a horror film is very interesting. He says that he always finds new ways to make a horror movie better than the previous one. He is known for being able to create movies that are usually different from other films produced in the same genre.

Douthit had the goal of becoming a politician and was headed in that direction. However, he changed his mind and decided to pursue a career in the film industry. While still studying for his MBA at the University of Texas, he started Dark Hall Mansion which is now one of the most successful companies in the horror film industry. He also worked as an assistant director on some movies such as “The Return”, “Pumpkinhead”, “The Unborn” and “Urban Legend”.
